Emma Snowflake

Filed under: knitting — Kristin @ 10:02 am

I made the Emma Snowflake ornament from Knitted Snowflakes for my grandparents. I knit it with J&P Coats Knit-Cro-Sheen (Size 10) on US 1 needles.

  1. Cute! Did you starch/iron the heck out of it? That sometimes makes thread crochet look a bit more solid.

  2. I used this spray called Aleene’s Stiffen Quick – blocked the ornament, pinned it down, and sprayed the heck out of it then let it dry. It’s still flexible but holds its shape well. I feel like it worked better on the first snowflake I made where I didn’t wet it with water at all, just the spray. I could have done another coat but it was a last minute gift and I didn’t have time.
