Gnomey Hat
I made a Gnomey Hat out of a leftover skein of KnitPicks Panache 40% baby alpaca / 20% cashmere / 20% silk / 20% extrafine merino in Dusk. It was knit on US 10 needles.

I made Misty Garden from Scarf Style with Lion Brand Wool-Ease 80% acrylic / 20% wool in Wood (232). It was knit on US 8 needles.

I made the Big Bad Baby Blanket from Stitch ‘N Bitch for Julia’s new baby to be born in June. The yarn is Koigu Painter’s Palette Premium Merino 100% merino wool in colorway #P436. I had 4 skeins each of 2 different dyelots so since the pattern called for holding 2 strands together throughout, I just held one of each dyelot. It was knit on US 9 needles.



I made the Sweet Baby Cap and Saartje’s Bootees [pdf] for a baby shower my mom was going to. The yarn is Dalegarn Stork 100% cotton in Green (4) and Sand (30). The hat was knit on US 2 needles and the bootees were knit on US 1 and 2 needles. The hat is sized to 6 months, and the bootees are the large size.

I made the Annie Snowflake ornament from Knitted Snowflakes for my Aunt Theresa. I used some white size 20 thread I borrowed from my mom, and knit it on US 1 needles.

I made the Umbilical Cord Hat from Stitch ‘N Bitch and two onesies for my friend Scott’s baby, due in January. The hat was knit from TLC Cotton Plus 51% cotton / 49% acrylic in Lavendar (3590) on US 7 needles. The onesies have Little Beeper (the baby Road Runner from Tiny Toons) for his Plymouth Road Runner, and the Mopar symbol for Chrysler auto parts.

I made the Satin-Edged Blanket from Knitting for Two for a former professor’s baby, due in December. The yarn is Lion Brand Homespun 98% acrylic / 2% polyester in Candy Apple (375). I used US 15 and US 19 needles. I embroidered the Chinese character for luck in one corner. The ribbon was actually 4″ wide instead of 2″ like the pattern called for.

I made the Silky Wrap Sweater from Knitting for Two for Sasha. The yarn is Knit Picks Gloss 70% merino wool / 30% silk in Woodland Sage. I used US 1 and US 2 needles and made the 22 inch chest size.

I made Womb at the request of a friend for her mother who had a hysterectomy. It was made with TLC Essentials 100% acrylic in Fusion (2690) on US 8 needles.

I made another Panta for Kelly’s birthday present. The yarn is Moda Dea Eclipse 60% extra fine wool / 40% nylon in Peri (2595), and it was knit on size US 5 needles. I altered it a little by only casting on 16 stitches.
