I was Lady Gaga for Halloween this year and I decided to match a black lace outfit she wore. I made the mask, hat and pointed shoulders, and collected all the other pieces from ebay (lace top, lace stockings, nude bodysuit, leather half gloves). The mask is made from black flowers bought at Michael’s, pulled apart and hot glued to a plastic mask cut to shape, which was then hot glued to an old pair of sunglasses frames. The hat was made by covering a circle of cardboard with felt and sewing bigs loops of wire-lined sheer ribbon to the top. The pointed shoulders were just pieces of card stock shaped to get the right look.

I made this shirred baby dress for Mae in a 3-6 month size.

I made Avast for Michael using Cascade 220 Wool 100% Peruvian highland wool in black on US 4 and 6 needles. The only difference is that I took the cable out, and added length everywhere.

I made this baby blanket for Kevin using the Horizontal Waves pattern from the Vogue Knitting Stitchionary Volume One. The yarn is KnitPicks Swish Worsted 100% superwash merino wool in Tidepool Heather and it was knit on US 8 needles.

I made the Amanda Hat [pdf] for Nichelle. The yarn is Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice 100% acrylic in Kelly Green (172) and it was knit on US 9 needles.

I made the Abominable Snow Baby Hat and Booties for Heather’s baby shower. The hat was knit on US 4 needles and the booties were crocheted with a size H hook with NaturallyCaron.com Country 75% microdenier acrylic / 25% merino wool in Naturally (0007) and Silver Service (0008).

I made the Alsace Le Monstre Doll and Hat for Heather’s baby shower. They were knit on US 4 needles with NaturallyCaron.com Country 75% microdenier acrylic / 25% merino wool in Deep Purple (0014), Foliage (0012), Naturally (0007), and Black (0024). The eyes were crocheted on a size E hook.

This ornament is from 101 Christmas Minis Book 2 by Holly DeFount (Leisure Arts 2535).

I made this ornament for a pregnant friend whose mother-in-law is already buying “Baby’s 1st Christmas” things, even though the baby isn’t due until March. I found the graphic online and altered it a little bit while turning it into a usable chart.
