I helped a friend make some bunting for decorations for her three year old’s birthday party. There were two sets of colors, each consisting of four fat quarters and one regular quarter, which yielded 71 6″ wide and 7″ long triangles. We ended up with eight 9′ lengths of bunting.

I made the Mendocino Sundress for myself from some lightweight linen. I made some slight changes to the pattern – shortened the skirt, included 1/4″ elastic in the top hem casing and added different straps. The best part? Pockets!

I made this apron for my sister’s birthday with McCall’s M5825 C.

I made this apron for my sister with Butterick B5474 A.

I made two more stockings this year, one for my friend Amy and one for baby Dylan who joined the Rust family this past spring.

I made this bag for Julia from the New Look 6984 F pattern.

I made this shirred baby dress for Mae in a 3-6 month size.

This sewing screen was made to match one my mom has that her grandfather and aunt helped her make when she was little. My dad made me the frame for Christmas and my mom helped me put together the background and pockets. Then I had to eat lots of jelly to get those empty jars but it’s finally completely finished.

I made Butterick B4572 A for a Seven Deadly Sins themed costume party. I went as Bacchus for gluttony. Crepe-back satin and all notions are from JoAnn’s. I made it a little longer than called for and added a liner.
