Hutchinson Family Stockings
I made these for Sean and Jenn out at their new home in Oregon.

These gators were very simple to make, just 20″ squares of fleece and 3 lines of sewing. I’m sending a couple to my soldiers from Hugs From Home and the rest to the Gator Project.

I made the Satin-Edged Blanket from Knitting for Two for a former professor’s baby, due in December. The yarn is Lion Brand Homespun 98% acrylic / 2% polyester in Candy Apple (375). I used US 15 and US 19 needles. I embroidered the Chinese character for luck in one corner. The ribbon was actually 4″ wide instead of 2″ like the pattern called for.

I finally made the camera case I promised my friend Joanie for her birthday 2 years ago. There was no pattern, I just got the measurements of her camera and went from there.

I made these stockings for Amie and Andy based on stockings that my mother made, which were based on stockings her grandmother made. They are just flannel, felt, and Red Heart yarn.

My aunt stayed with us for Christmas this year so I made her this stocking based on stockings that my mother made, which were based on stockings her grandmother made. It’s just flannel, felt, and Red Heart yarn. The pattern matches the pattern that my mom, myself and my little sisters have.

I made these stockings for Lisa, Shaun and Haley based on stockings that my mother made, which were based on stockings her grandmother made. They are just flannel, felt, and Red Heart yarn.

I made two baby slings based on the Maya Wrap pattern for Lisa and Shaun’s little girl Haley, who is due at the end of the month. I had Lisa and Shaun come to JoAnn’s with me to pick out the fabric, and I got the rings from Sling Rings. I used nylon upholstery thread for strength. Since the fabric was non-reversible, I had to double it up and had some trouble getting through all the layers. I finally lengthened the stitch and loosened the tension on my machine and it worked. I’ll try to get some action shots once Haley is here.

I made this Phantom of the Opera Cape for a friend from Simplicity 4482 with fabric that I got at Karlin’s.

I made this beaded purse based on McCall’s 9661D. The original pattern only had a strip of beads at the bottom so I added the rest.
