hair

Wednesday, May 31st, 2006

I can pull most of my hair back. That means it’s time for a cut. I just wish I had the time.

I’m skipping salsa tonight to do work in my hot apartment. I’m tempted to go sit downstairs in my building near my landlord’s office to do work because he’s got the air on so high the hallway is cold.

I’ve been trying to use my phone for over an hour now and I keep getting told all circuits are busy. What is going on? This has never happened to me before.

camera fixed

Friday, May 26th, 2006

My camera just fixed itself. At the last party I had, I had rolled onto it and tilted the lens a little bit but didn’t notice until I looked at the pictures and the last couple ones were black on one edge and blurry on the other. I tilted it back into place and it took pictures fine but the lens wouldn’t retract all the way. I turned it on tonight and it made noise for a little bit and then fixed itself so it retracts all the way now.

My computer is mostly set up again. Time to catch up on tons of work.

Dell is for suckers… oh wait that’s me

Tuesday, May 16th, 2006

My hard drive died AGAIN. I HATE Dell. I’m lucky I got the 4 year hardware warranty because I’ve replaced just about everything on the damn thing. My warranty runs out this July so I guess it’s good my hard drive died before then. I had most of my non-class stuff backed up. Some class stuff is on my school webspace so I have most of that. The thing I’m going to miss most this time is an updated Family Tree file (AGAIN), the knitting patterns I just bought and downloaded (but I can probably get again), the mp3s I bought and downloaded (I can probably get those again too), and my bookmarks. It never even occurred to me to back up my bookmarks. Oh yeah, and probably biggest of all, my email. I used Outlook so only the most recent mail is on the server still. Damn it. This past week is just one horrible thing happening after the other, and believe it or not, this is the least horrible of them.

I want this.

I watched Be Cool again recently and it got me thinking about these:

Crazy:

Cryin’:

Amazing:

Whatever happened to Alicia Silverstone? I haven’t seen her since Blast From the Past.

KENNEDY FOSTER: kennedy foster
ANJ: coin and a half girls
UNCLE EARL: she waits for night
RED MOLLY: red molly ep
RED STICK RAMBLERS: right key, wrong keyhole

I finally gave in and got these. I can’t wait for them to arrive. :)

In knitting news, I am about to rip out an almost finished Evening Diamonds for the second time. I’m finally going to give in and swatch. I’ve learned my lesson. Once this is done, I’m going to make Orangina. And I will swatch there too I swear.

weddings and babies

Wednesday, May 10th, 2006

I just found out my one friend is having a girl! Now I get to make really cute stuff. I actually already have one present for her that I know she’ll love, although it’s not handmade.

I have another wedding for a friend I graduated high school with in July. And then they’re moving to Seattle. Another friend married and far away, even farther than the last one (Maine).

I already have weddings set for next May and September, and babies coming this September and November.
