I really want to see this movie, based on the soundtrack alone. You can listen to the whole thing at the website. I love the Black Keys.
I found Melody Gardot since she’s opening for James Hunter on New Year’s Eve. I probably won’t go to that since house parties are better for NYE – going out is so crowded and the prices for everything get jacked up. Any way she’s also playing at World Cafe Live this Friday so I might go see her then. She’s got such a great voice. CDBaby calls her music “folky-blues, acoustic jazz.” She’s from Philly too. Check her out.
Right now I’m taking a country western two step dance class. Next will be either swing or zydeco. I have to get ready for the Red Stick Ramblers at the Finger Lakes Grassroots Festival, where they’re playing in the dance tent two nights. I can’t wait for July. :)

Apparently the Grassroots Fest still has last year’s schedule up so I missed the Red Stick Ramblers playing there. However they will be playing at the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival in July of this year, on the dance stage 3 nights. :)
I’ve been listening to a lot of Old Crow Medicine Show. I won’t subject you to more youtube, but they’re all over it. They just played at the TLA last month so I missed them. Whenever I start listening to someone new, it turns out they’ve just played in Philly in the past month. That’s so annoying.
